Wine Tastings
Special selections of wines are available by the glass at all times for your own tasting. In addition, we can organise private tasting events.
Wine tastings with the producers are organised monthly and are hosted by our very own 'oste' Michele Alesiani and our sommelier Maurizio Titone. Osteria is pleased to be able to present the wines of some of our favourite producers during the coming months.
All wine tastings start at 7.15pm upstairs, and there will be a short presentation of wines at 8pm. Dinner will be served, as usual, downstairs.
Wine tasting will be free of charge to dining customers only.

Azienda Poggio Argentiera, Tuscany

The estate was bought in 1997 by Gianpaolo Paglia and his English wife Justine Keeling. Today, they have two estates, both within the Morellino di Scansano DOCG appellation: one in Tuscany's Maremma near Grosseto and the other in the hills of Scansano. Their philosophy is to make wines where the terroir is allowed to show through. The farming is organic and the winemaking is natural. Even though Poggio Argentiera is a young winery, it has already received critical acclaim including three glasses from Gambero Rosso Slow Food Guide of Italian Wines, amongst others.
